Apihimal Rural Municipality in Darchula has officially been connected to Nepal's road network after the road reached Gaudyakhola in Ward No. 3, about 23 kos northwest of the district headquarters, Khalanga. The milestone is a major breakthrough for one of Sudurpashchim Province's most remote local levels and could significantly improve access, trade, and public services in the high hills of far-western Nepal.

The connection marks an important step for a region long defined by difficult terrain and limited transport options.
