Authorities identified the suspect as Dambar Giri, 63, and the victim as his 43-year-old son, Shankar Giri. Police say the attack happened in Chintamani Tol, where the confrontation escalated into violence involving a khurpa, a traditional sharp cutting tool.

District Police Office spokesperson DSP Anil Pandit said the victim suffered severe head injuries and died during the assault. Police have taken the suspect into custody, and investigators are now examining the circumstances that led to the killing.
