A seven-month-old Palestinian infant was killed after Israeli forces fired at a vehicle in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, an incident that also left his parents injured and has once again pushed the long-running conflict in the area into sharp focus.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the baby died after being struck during the Friday evening shooting in Hebron's Tel Rumeida neighborhood. Palestinian officials said the child's parents were also wounded in the same incident.
