Motorcycle-Truck Collision on Nepal’s East-West Highway Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

A fatal road accident in Devchuli Municipality-14, Nawalparasi, has left one man dead and another seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a truck on the East-West Highway.

According to police, the victim was identified as 51-year-old Om Narayan Gurau. The motorcycle struck a truck traveling from Kawasoti toward Narayangarh, leading to the crash on one of Nepal’s busiest highways.

District Police Office Nawalparasi Superintendent Yuvraj Khadka confirmed the details of the incident. Another person involved in the accident suffered serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The collision took place on the East-West Highway, a major transport route that carries heavy traffic throughout the day. In this case, the motorcycle crashed into a truck moving along the Kawasoti-Narayangarh section of the road, causing severe consequences for those on the two-wheeler.
