According to hotel operators, the current demand is being driven by domestic travelers making the most of the extended break, alongside Indian tourists arriving in search of cooler weather. Laxman Subedi, president of the Hotel Association Pokhara, said major hotels are operating at around 90 percent occupancy, while smaller and mid-sized properties are seeing about 75 percent fill rates.
The surge has been especially visible in Lakeside, Pokhara’s most active tourism corridor, where restaurants, hotels, and tour businesses have all reported stronger foot traffic. The increased visitor flow is also benefiting nearby destinations that typically depend on Pokhara as a gateway for short trips and longer stays.
