Two people were killed in a road accident at Armadi in Kushma Municipality-2, Parbat, after a truck and a motorcycle collided on the Pokhara-Mustang route. The motorcycle was coming from the opposite direction when it hit the truck, which was traveling from Pokhara to Mustang.

The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Hira Garbuja of Jaljala Rural Municipality-9 and 35-year-old Sujan Bhandari of Kushma Municipality-1. Both were riding the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Incidents like this continue to highlight the risks faced by riders on busy inter-district roads, where heavy vehicles and two-wheelers often share narrow stretches with limited room for error. In this case, the collision turned instantly fatal, underscoring how quickly a routine journey can become a tragedy.

Local authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including road conditions, vehicle movement, and any possible traffic rule violations. Such inquiries are important for establishing the exact cause and for identifying measures that could help reduce similar accidents in the future.

The accident adds to growing concern over road safety in hill districts, where sharp bends, mixed traffic, and fast-moving freight vehicles can make driving especially dangerous. For communities along major transport corridors, each fatal crash serves as a stark reminder of the need for stricter caution and safer road practices.
