Two people were killed and three others were injured after a jeep plunged about 200 meters off the Mid-Hill Highway in Achham district, highlighting once again the dangers of mountainous travel routes in western Nepal.

The accident happened on Friday evening at Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-4, when the vehicle, which belonged to Satlok Ashram Janakpur, was traveling from Darchula to Jumla.
